I have heard bad things about CPS, but have to admit that I don't know that much about it. I also doubt that CPS at its worst possible could abuse government power with quite as big a range of potential victims or with this much impunity.

But in this insane era, I could be wrong. Could you point me to a good example or, better yet, an expose?

My condolences regarding this state of affairs. I probably don't need to urge you, then, to do what you can to change things or get out of there!

I wondered whether that might be the case when I noticed that Warren had used the phrase, "anti-Christian activist".

This post is timely given that my brother and I were talking about this to our family and friends just yesterday -- it came up on a discussion of why my brother and I have decided not to celebrate "Canada Day", which happens to be today.

Our opinion is that any country which tolerates, and indeed encourages, this type of clearly totalitarian government behavior is not deserving of any celebration.

On a side note: David Warren is a member of the Canadian equivalent of the Christian right -- he is religious and socially conservative. While his article on the subject of the sham "Human Rights Commissions" are well written, he is certainly not a defender of true freedom.
