It is at the core of Islam: That which is not Islam is Error, and Error has no rights. Error is to be destroyed.

The world "reaction" to the Gaza incident, like all the conflicts before it, should be as good a sign as Israel needs to move in and finish this war once and for all... by killing enemies until the people remaining, if any, capitulate in utter, unconditional surrender.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10125745545009130612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8839412.post-87326849629650766272009-01-07T18:48:00.000-06:002009-01-07T18:48:00.000-06:00Thanks for taking the time to leave ypur kind comm...Thanks for taking the time to leave ypur kind comment.

"[W]hat can they do when Hamas places their armories and mortors among civilians purposefully, knowing that pictures of the blown-up schools on the evening news will be blamed on Israel, and not, as is proper, on Hamas."

Blast them to smithereens anyway.

No matter what Israel does, it will be painted as the villain and it can notify its allies of the truth, so that should have exactly zero weight when considering the necessity of defeding Israeli lives and freedom.Gus Van Hornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05126749051688217781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8839412.post-26678677570811685512009-01-07T17:35:00.000-06:002009-01-07T17:35:00.000-06:00Thanks for this post.I am watching this war with a...Thanks for this post.
I am watching this war with a deep sense of dread.

As Jews, we live by Torah, and Israel generally takes the high road to try and target the battle away from civilians. But what can they do when Hamas places their armories and mortors among civilians purposefully, knowing that pictures of the blown-up schools on the evening news will be blamed on Israel, and not, as is proper, on Hamas.

Also thanks for the link to the Lewis article. As an American Jew, I can say with pride that I have supported the Jewish National Fund by donating money to plant trees and make the desert bloom for much of my life. And the Jews of Europe did the same, long before 1948. I am so glad that Lewis noticed the accomplishments of generations of Jews, many who died as strangers in hostile places and never saw the desert bloom.

I love America--it is home, and I am American in creed and philosophy. But that tiny patch of the West in the Middle East--that is our hope and refuge should "it happen here."Elisheva Hannah Levinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16061377724926154037noreply@blogger.com
