I wouldn't worry about crop yields, though. Countries like India and China will take up the coal-burning slack, thereby saving our agricultural sector, at least from this round of government foolishness.Gus Van Hornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05126749051688217781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8839412.post-9360593657104088262014-06-10T13:39:58.084-06:002014-06-10T13:39:58.084-06:00The US accounts for about one sixth of the entire ...The US accounts for about one sixth of the entire world output of carbon dioxide and amount of carbon dioxide the US releases diminishes each year.

Whether or not the CAGW hypothesis is true, false or somewhere in the middle, the EPA regulation will have no discernible effect on global temperatures and probably no effect on the atmospheric carbon dioxide levels either.

Of course if their goal is to strangle the economy (and we know it is), the regulations will have some effect although…since the carbon dioxide levels are going down anyway, not as much as they are hoping.

Poor Obama; every time he comes up with a strategy to bring the US to its knees, someone comes up with a workaround. With enemies like him, who needs friends?

I can’t pass up this chance to say; if they just reduced the regulations and insurance cost of nuclear power plants and people stop freaking when they hear the word 'nuclear', we’d be driving thorium-powered vehicles in a few years. (And mine would fly) -

The downside is that atmospheric CO2 levels would go down and crop yields would be less.
Steve Dnoreply@blogger.com
