Blogroll Addition
I have added Don's fine blog, Anger Management, to my blogroll. Go below his blogroll and click on anything in his "Best of Anger Management" list and you'll be in for a treat. Don discusses a wide range of topics, sometimes in great depth, and is often hilarious. I'm glad he's back to blogging again!
10,000 Visits!
Some time later today or tomorrow morning, I will receive my 10,000th site visit since adding a visitor counter some time in mid December. I am quite lucky to be able to celebrate quantity and quality in my readership. I'm happy about the first, of course, but will focus on the second here.
My thanks go to all my visitors, to those who have promoted my blog, and especially to those who have taken the time to comment on or email me about some of my posts. Criticism, both positive and negative, has helped me track my progress as an opinion writer, helped me learn my strengths and weaknesses as a blogger, and "kept me honest" in general.
I have been especially fortunate to have exactly the kind of audience I'd hoped for when I began blogging. Some have been friends for years (and, I am happy to say, remain so), while others are new friends. The new friendships I have made by blogging have been its greatest benefit to me.

On the fact that people are actually reading this stuff.... Yes it is pretty amazing, especially when I think of my first few entries, back when I knew that NOBODY else was reading them.
I'd probably keep some kind of journal anyway, but the interactive nature of blogging makes it more fun.
