This takes the cake!

I find myself nearly incapable of putting together a complete thought this evening because I keep busting out laughing, as it were.

Other than a few other snarky comments, most of which I'll keep to myself, I don't know what else to say about this statue but that it is, somehow, the perfect memorial for Hillary Rodham Clinton. Here it is in all its splendor! One view alone is insufficient, so I'll show a pair.

After some quick Internet searches, I found this news story over at MSNBC, which invites its readers to vote on Hillary Clinton as (chortle) a sex symbol. Every line of this begs for a snort or a smart-aleck comment. (Where are Beavis and Butthead when you need them?) But that would be gilding the lily, so I'll just present it as is:

A "presidential bust" of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was unveiled Wednesday at New York's Museum of Sex, where sculptor Daniel Edwards hopes it will spark discussion about sex, politics and celebrity.

Edwards, the artist who also created a life-size nude of Britney Spears giving birth on a bear-skin rug, said he wanted to capture Clinton's age and femininity in the sculpture.

Clinton's office had no immediate comment.

Edwards said his work features a soft "presidential smile" and wrinkles framing her eyes. A floral pattern runs across her breasts, part of Edwards' effort to present Clinton "as a woman -- not a covered-up person, but as a woman."

"I didn't want to give her a face lift or change her age," he said of his work.

"The key was to reveal her chest a little bit. She usually covers herself up, but I don't think that's necessary."

Perhaps getting ahead of himself, the artist has titled the sculpture "The Presidential Bust of Hillary Rodham Clinton: The First Woman President of the United States of America."

I'll close by noting the following gem from the Wikipedia entry on the New York Museum of Sex (aka "MoSex"): "While Gluck was planning MoSex, the New York State Board of Regents rejected its application for non-profit status, objecting that the idea of a 'museum of sex' made 'a mockery' of the concept of museums." I think that "museums" aren't the only concept these clowns are making a mockery of. But in this case, they have my applause for choosing such a worthy target!
