New Link

Many of my readers may already know about this link, but those who do not should definitely check it out, particularly those who might be interested in discussing the ideas of Ayn Rand with others. I've been looking at David Veksler's site, Objectivism Online, lately and have to say that I'm quite impressed! From the site's description:

ObjectivismOnline.NET is a student-run online community created to bring together the vast marketplace of Objectivist ideas, commentary on current events, essays written by intellectuals, discussion with Objectivists, and the vast number of other Objectivist websites that have spread across the Internet.

That sums it up better than I can. The discussions run the gamut and include participants of varying levels of familiarity with Objectivism. Although I suspect I may have encountered the site at some point in the past, I was reminded of it again by a recent post at Benjo Blog about its new blog-hosting feature. (The blogs can be found by clicking on the site's Forum tab and then the Blogs tab, or by going here.) So whether you're merely curious about Objectivism, a newcomer, or a salty veteran just waiting for a chance to rattle some cages (Just kidding!), be sure to stop by.

The site is moderated and I am impressed with both the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the discussions. I'm still new to the site and so have probably failed to do it justice. But since when do my readers just take someone's word for anything? Go and see for yourselves! Like I need to tell you that....

The permanent link will reside in the "News and Opinion" section of the sidebar until I decide to reoganize things. Thanks to Blogger, though, it won't be tonight: I wouldn't have the time if I were, somehow, still in the mood to do so.

Blogroll Addition

Veksler also writes a pretty solid blog: Truth, Justice, and the American Way. I've added it to my blogroll as "David Veksler." Read the post, "Against Software Patents," to see why I'm adding him. As a Linux enthusiast and someone who has considered the field of intellectual property law as a career, I found this quite interesting.

Blogroll Change

The General over at Benjo Blog has a new encampment. He seems to be finishing up the transition, though I'm not entirely sure whether he plans to move his entire archive to the new digs or leave it in Mordor -- I mean blogspot.

The burning question is this: "Will General Sherman's picture resurface?"
